And the Instant Pot did it again! Mashed potatoes are now easier than ever.
INSTANT POT MASHED POTATOES
1 kg White Potatoes, peeled and quartered
1.5 cup (400 ml) Chicken Broth
3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
1/4 cup to 1/2 cup Heavy Cream (more or less depending on your desired taste and texture)
Salt & Pepper
Pour the broth into the bottom of the Instant pot, and place a trivet or a steam basket into the Instant Pot. Add all of the potatoes to the trivet / steamer basket.
Lock the lid and set it to sealing. Cook on manual / high pressure for 7 minutes and 10 minutes natural pressure release (NPR).
Strain the potatoes and hand mash them with the butter and cream and mix until you achieve the desired texture. Salt & Pepper to taste.
